On September 16th, Dr. Richard Vandegriend, Co-founder of Arya EHR, stood in front of four "Dragons" at the BC Tech Pitch Night in downtown Vancouver. In under one minute he needed to communicate who we are, what our mission is, and to highlight the technology and business that we have built. During the presentation Rich made it clear that the issues in the healthcare industry have direct correlation to the support and technology that the healthcare professionals are provided. Without the right tools physicians and healthcare workers cannot provide proper and timely care to their patients. At the heart of those tools is the clinic's EMR (electronic medical records), the software that manages patient appointments, prescriptions, history and more. Unfortunately most of the EMRs are dated, expensive and tough to use. Rich highlighted how Arya EHR is modern, affordable, simple and has great adoption with physicians Coast to Coast.

After the pitch night, Arya Health Co- founder, Dr. Sam Gharbi mentioned to the Dragons, "With everything that has happened over the past few years, it's more important than ever to ensure that healthcare professionals have the resources and support they need to succeed in such demanding roles. Arya Health was honored to be selected as one of BC Tech's Start Up of the Year Finalists and participating in the Pitch Night was an opportunity for us to present our product and business to a new audience. We were able to make new connections, showcase our technology and have a platform to reach new users. We look forward to more opportunities like this in the future and will be sure to share them here on our blog.
